Stance is the writers position on an issue. It is their perspective and view of it which can be opinionated, bias or neutral. The writer’s stance can have a huge impact on the audience and persuade their own views to change. My stance fluctuated between each assignment. For example, in the memo my stance was bias because I am a student and I was writing about how classes should have unlimited seating if they are remote so I was trying to convince the principle of CCNY to allow that. On the other hand, in my lab report my stance was neutral because it was solely based on facts and evidence to show one type of keyboard switch was superior to the other. Additionally, my stance for the engineering proposal was that the app we were making is very useful and beneficial and should be implemented so I was persuading the Governor of Hawaii to release it.
